What Kind of
Geocache
Can I Place?
Typically, a geocache can be any container that is
at
least large enough to hold a log book or log roll. It is also
known as a stash. These are placed all
over the world following certain guidelines and rules depending on the
association you join.
There have been many forum posts regarding the
largest and smallest geo caches available for hunting. The more
creative
you are the more buzz your cache will get.

You can pick a neat place to
hide it where visitors will want to go just to check
the place out. There is a small road in Nashville that leads to the top
of a big hill. It is tucked back behind some huge office buildings and
you would never know it was there unless someone showed you. At the top
of the hill is a small park with some benches overlooking downtown
Nashville. What a neat place to place a geo cache. Tell visitors to
bring lunch and enjoy!
Many people enjoy placing hard-to-find caches. I
once found a microcache hanging by fishing line under a bridge! These
people like to make you really hunt for it.
Unique geocaching
containers are
another way to
have fun and draw people to your geocaches. This is a "gum"
cache. See the
teeny little round part in the center? That unscrews to reveal a log
roll to sign. Think you could have spotted it?

An ammobox is pretty common and a favorite among
the kids because it usually carries lots of swag (ya know, good trading
stuff!) and it seals well so the stuff inside keeps better.
